Synopsis: To protect her ageing father from the cruelty of war, Mulan (Zhao Wei) disguised as a boy and enters the Wei army. She maintains a low profile until the army bully picks on a smaller fellow soldier. She explodes in a rage, and shows off her incredible strength and excellent martial arts abilities.

Mulan saves many of her comrades when Mudun (Hu Jun), the son of Rouran Danyu (king of all tribes) attack the Wei army. Then, she gains the support of her fellow soldiers and is promoted to Battalion Vice-Commander.

Men die in action one by one with piles of blood-stained dog tags... Will Mulan be overwhelmed with depression? A woman has to lead her men to multiple victories for the sake of her country and forget about her only love, Wentai (Chen Kun).
